the oakwood coffee shop open

In the face of a fuel crisis, many people are looking for a warm place to go this winter and so as TVC Church, we have looked to find a way that we can further reach out to our community during these colder months. We have now registered with Stockton Borough Council and our lovely Coffee Shop listed as a warm space.

The Oakwood Coffee Shop is always toasty warm and it is a comforting and friendly place where anybody is welcome – with no obligation to buy!

We would love you and those that you know, to use our Coffee Shop as a warm space.

It is open from 10am – 2pm every day and our staff would love to meet you!

Just pop on down and feel free to stay, keep warm and have a chat. Bring a book, bring your knitting or bring your phone (charge points and free wifi available). If you would like something to eat or drink, simply ask for a ‘pay it forward’. These are pre-paid gift cards, left by our customers, for those who need a little something, without the worry of cost – no embarrassment, no questions asked, just something good on us!

As well as our usual opening hours, we have special opening each Wednesday afternoon from 2pm till 3.30pm for ‘Flourish’. This is a social group who meet at The Coffee Shop, that focusses on friendship and fun for those who are available during the day. There is a special deal on hot drinks and cake, a quiz and lots of people to talk to.

On the second Thursday of each month, we host our ‘Good Company’ dementia support group. This is a social supportive group for those who are living with dementia and their carers. Our Coffee Shop team have undergone training to ensure that The Oakwood Coffee Shop is a dementia friendly place, where everyone is valued.
