We have an amazing opportunity to reach out to our local community in Stockton though our Summer 2022 Mission Week!
The Shack is a TVC Church Community hub that is right in the heart of Stockton. You can read more about it here.
Our team over at The Shack are making plans to run a youth-led mission week, that is focussed on serving the local community and responding to their requests for support in a variety of ways. We already have a team of young people ready to serve from Wednesday 27th July until Friday 29th – but that doesn’t stop us older ones getting involved and making a difference too! If you have an hour to give or even a few hours, then we would love you to come and join us!
So what will be happening?
We have just been gifted some allotment space to create a community garden right across the road from The Shack. It is going to need quite a bit of work, so if you would like to come and dig – we would love to see you! All ages welcome.
If a good cuppa is more your style – then why not come and help out at The Shack itself. We will be open throughout the three days to offer breakfast and lunch to the team and open for anybody from the community to drop by for a cuppa throughout the day.
We would love to, as a church, be available to our community throughout this time and just offer to go the extra mile for them. Whether that be pulling up a few weeds in their garden to carrying their shopping back from the Grocery, we are excited to be salt and light in this community.
How do I join in?
Our Mission Week will run from 8.30am (breakfast) to 3pm each day from 27th July to 29th July from The Shack on Dover Road, Stockton. Please get in touch to ask any questions and to let us know to count you in! We would just love you to join us as we reach out to bless our local community.
