We are so excited to introduce to you our new Coffee Shop Assistant Manager!
With a passion for coffee and a heart focussed on the Kingdom of God, we know that Sarah will not only be a successful manager at our lovely coffee shop, but she will be a great addition to our TVC Church staff team.
Originally from Cork, Ireland, Sarah has been living and working in Belfast for the past year as a supervisor at a local coffee shop, while being an active part of her local Church. After becoming a Christian at the age of 16, she is passionate about sharing the faith in Jesus that has changed her life.
Over the Autumn, Sarah had made the decision to move to England to be nearer boyfriend Paul (who works as a Community Grocery Manager here in the North East) but hadn’t been able to find a job locally. Sarah says “It was a bit disappointing and I started to ask God if this was really what he had planned for me in this season”. But then, on a visit to Teesside, she was introduced to Terry Young who suggested that she apply for the job of Assistant Manger right here at The Oakwood Coffee Shop. With her background in Coffee, plus a passion to share Jesus, we were excited to meet Sarah and learn of not only her practical skills and background in running a Coffee Shop but her heart for seeing the kingdom of God advance as well as experience in working with children and a passion for empowering youth.
We caught up with Bekah to ask her about her new team member. She said “It is so exciting to have Sarah here and we can see that this is the next big step in God’s plan to reach the local Community through the work of The Coffee Shop”.
It has been a real joy to get to know Sarah a little this week. While chatting to her in the Coffee Shop it is clear to see the threads that God has woven through her life to lead her to this role and we are excited to see what God has in store for her while she is serving us here at TVC Church and beyond!
Why not pop in and give Sarah a great big welcome to TVC Church while experiencing one of her beautiful latte’s (and maybe a brownie too…you know it makes sense!).
Our Coffee Shop is now open again with its usual hours and once Sarah has got her feet under the table, we might even be able to extend our opening hours so that we can welcome even more of you!
