Jesus said, in what is known as the Great Commission, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you’ (Matthew 28:19-20).

Many different words have been used to describe what we do in response to this. Words like: mission, evangelism, witnessing, or outreach. Some churches place emphasis on sharing the gospel message, whereas others put practical service centre stage, and yet others focus on healing and miracles.

But we see the early church doing all of these things, and we believe in TVCC that our response to the Great Commission involves all these aspects. Just as a fire needs heat, fuel, and air, so mission requires good words, good works, and great wonders!
