You are invited to join us as we gather to worship this Sunday!

Whether you come regularly to The Oakwood Centre, or are brand new, everyone is very welcome to worship with us each Sunday morning – so come along!

If you are brand new to us, check out our Sundays page for some more info and what to expect.

This week

This Sunday, we continue our teaching series ‘The Lord on the Move’ and Anna Biddlecombe will be speaking to us about ‘The Lord of Glory’. Her message will be based on the Bible passage found in Mark chapter 9 v 2-32.

We will also be praying together and worshipping together, led by our live band.

All Age Service

We are excited that this Sunday will be an all age service.  This means that it is designed with all ages in mind and that there won’t be separate Youth and Children’s services happening.  We want everyone to feel at home during these services and we hope that you enjoy our creative content.

This week’s sermon will be shorter than usual and it has been created with all ages in mind.  However, we do recognise that the youngest members of our congregation may find it tricky to keep still and quiet during this section of the sermon and so break out rooms will be available for those who are 7 and under.  Feel free to visit the following areas with your 7 and under’s if they need it.

Twinkle (birth to 2)In Lounge Open throughout the morning
Fireflies (age 2-5) Under 5’s room (back of sports hall)Open throughout the service if accompanied by a parent – manned by team during the sermon only
Spark (age 5-7)Function RoomOpen throughout the sermon

If you are leaving your child in a group, you will need to sign them in on the sign up sheet when you drop them at their designated room. You will then be given a numbered band which corresponds to your child’s collection number. No prior sign up or stickers will be needed this week.

Our register system is created to comply with our safeguarding policy – safeguarding children and those who are vulnerable is something that we take very seriously.

Stewards will point you in the right direction and our children’s team will be on hand to help your children to settle.

Online

Our service will also be streamed online via YouTube and Facebook for those who are not able to join us in person this week – which means that you can join from anywhere in the world if you have an internet connection!
