Together with our nation, we mourn the loss of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As we take time to reflect, with gratitude, on the life and legacy of her extraordinary reign, we thank God for her faithfulness, humility and dedicated service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Her courage, strength and leadership have been the cornerstone of our nation and have served as an example to the world. We are comforted that Her Majesty confessed and lived out a deep and enduring faith in Jesus.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family at this time and we pray for them in this difficult time of grief. We pray for King Charles III as he both mourns the loss of his mother and begins to navigate this monumental transition in his life.

We pray for those closest to the Queen, for her family and household as they mourn.

We pray for our nation during this time of grief and change. We pray that they would find peace and comfort in the God that Her Majesty followed – the God who is still very present with us here today.

“For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace…is an inspiration and an anchor in my life. A role model of reconciliation and forgiveness, he stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing. Christ’s example has taught me to seek to respect and value all people, of whatever faith or none.”

Her Majesty The Queen, 2004

As TVC Church, we want to offer love and comfort to all those who mourn.

Our Prayer room is open for an extended time today as a place of quiet reflection and prayer and all are welcome to visit.

This Sunday, we will observe a moment of reflection and thankfulness for the life of Her Majesty, during our Sunday gathering together.
