At TVC Church, God has called us to reach out to those around us and to bring compassionate transformation across Teesside. One of the ways that we live this out, is by partnering with other organisations who seek to do the same.

Junction 42 is an organisation that we have a great affinity with and we work with in a number of different ways. They are currently planting ‘Connect Communities’ right across the UK. Connect Stockton has been running for a while now and is seeing great fruit, as Pete Conroy, Steve Sewell and team, meet weekly with the community in Stockton.

This month we have launched ‘Connect Middlesbrough’.

Tony Grainge and team have begun meeting at Linthorpe Methodist Church each Monday evening from 7pm until 8.30pm. In the past few weeks, we have met with over 150 people; shared food, worshipped together and seen 15 people make a commitment to Jesus!

Connect works to form community through gatherings, where ex-offenders, drug-users, and the homeless, can grow in faith alongside long-standing Christians. Connect communities are marked by being grassroots, passionate and missional. They are full-on, real and raw. They are not dumbed down, or seeker friendly. They are full of people who have met with Jesus in very real ways, and they provide companionship and support on a shared path.

How can you help to support this amazing work, happening right on your doorstep?

  • Pray – Yes prayer is vital! Keep praying for the team who are involved in these connect communities. Pray for the people who are a part of the community and pray for those who have made a commitment recently, for their continued walk with Christ.
  • Visit – Why not pop down and see for yourself what God is upto? The team would love to see you and have your support.
  • Volunteer – Could you commit to being part of the team who prepares, cooks, serves each week at connect? To find out more contact admin@tvcchurch.org.uk and we will put you in touch!
