As TVC Church, we are a multi-generational family – that means that God has called us to be a community of believers that spans all age ranges. It is therefore vital to us that we not only welcome all ages on a Sunday morning, but that you are encouraged in your faith journey no matter how old you are or how long you have been on that journey. This is why we have created ‘Illuminate’ – our Sunday morning children’s groups which focus on fun, friendship and faith.

In the past few years, we have been so blessed by the growth of Illuminate. We now regularly have 75 to 100 children who join us each Sunday morning. We begin by 20 mins of all age worship together in the auditorium, before our Illuminate groups open and our children can head off to Twinkle (0-2 years), Fireflies (2 – 5 Years), Spark (Reception to Year 2) and Neon (Year 3 to 6).

This Sunday, the children in Spark and Neon will begin a new topic in their Illuminate groups. It is called ‘The Armour of God’ and it will focus on the verses in Ephesians 6 v 10 – 18. This passage in Ephesians reminds us that we are equipped and protected by God. With our spiritual armour on, we are ready to face anything the world throws at us and to go deeper in faith and relationship with God. Our memory verse for this series reminds us that the battle belongs to God, and we can trust in Him for victory.

The Lord says this to you: ‘Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of this large army. The battle is not your battle, it is God’s.

2 Chronicles20v 15(NCV)

Our younger children will continue their current topic ‘Who is Jesus?’ and will be following the stories of Jesus, that they can read about in their Bibles. All of our children enjoy studying the Bible together through stories, games, songs and crafts as they meet together each week.

Why not take a few minutes today to pray for each of our Illuminate children. Pray that they would grow knowing their fathers love and that they would live in daily relationship with Him. Pray for the Illuminate team, that they would be blessed and refreshed as they spend time with our children on a Sunday.

If you would like the chance to be part of our Illuminate team, you can find out more about it here.
