We love seeing people getting involved in church life, and we want to do all we can to support you as you serve, grow and live out your faith.

That’s why we’re running our second week of Equip Training.

Many of you will have already done some of the training, and this is a chance to come along to any sessions you have not yet completed.

These weeks are all about investing in you and the whole church. They are designed to build your confidence, help you grow in key areas of church life, and ensure we are equipped to care well for one another and to share Jesus with others.

What’s involved?

Between now and April 2026, we are inviting every member of our church family to take part in three core training sessions:

Pastoral Care
Evangelism
Safeguarding

You do not need to do them all at once. We have already run one round, and the remaining two will take place between now and April. This means you will have plenty of opportunities to come along at a time that works for you.

When’s it happening?

Our next Equip Training Week will take place from Tuesday, 13 January to Thursday, 15 January. Each session runs from 7:30 to 9pm.

To make space for this, we have asked all ministry leads and community group leaders to pause their usual activities for the week, so we can focus on training and learning together as a whole church.

Planning ahead?

We have made it easy for you to see all upcoming session dates and book ahead. Just use the ChurchSuite links below to sign up for the dates that suit you best.

Pastoral

Learn how to care well for others by listening, encouraging, and walking with people through life with wisdom, kindness, and faith.

Wednesday 14 January
Thursday 23 April
Evangelism

A relaxed evening of conversation, videos, and practical exercises to help you share your faith with confidence. Whether it’s with friends, neighbours, or colleagues, we’ll explore the gospel, how to share your story, and how to help someone take their next step of faith.
Thursday 15 January
Tuesday 21 April
Safeguarding

This training is mandatory for all volunteers who require a DBS. However, because safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in the church, we’d really like to encourage all volunteers to take part. It helps us make sure our church stays a safe and welcoming place for everyone, especially children and vulnerable adults.

Why are we doing this?

We believe everyone in our church has a part to play. Equip Training Weeks aren’t about ticking boxes or just doing the right thing – they’re about growing in the things that really matter.

This is a chance to be encouraged, learn together, and be better equipped to serve others and share the gospel in everyday life.

Thank you for all you give and all you do. We’re so grateful for your heart, your time, and your willingness to grow with us.

Let’s keep building together.
