Prayer Notes – Saturday 7th March 2026

Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll, which he unrolled before me. (Ezekiel 2:9-10)

Ezekiel had spent his whole life training for the priesthood when, quite unexpectedly, he was exiled to Babylon, almost 1,000 miles away from his beloved Temple. His whole world came to a sudden and crashing end, every hope demolished. But unsurprisingly, God had a plan. He stretched out his hand to Ezekiel and offered him a scroll with words on it, his call to be no longer a priest but a prophet, a prophet whose words we still read today.

When unexpected things happen, we often want to withdraw, but at such times, God is reaching out to us with new opportunities.

Whatever our own situation, God is reaching out to each of us today with his scroll of new opportunities for us to reach into as yet unreached areas. What does your scroll say, and where will you reach?

Pray For

ME – Pray that God would show you what his call is on your life in this season. Is it to continue with what is, or is there something new for you? If there has been unexpected change in your life, ask God what he wants to say through this.

US – Pray that we wouldn’t get stuck in a rut, but be continually open and obedient to God’s leading. May we continue to be a willing people.

OTHERS – Pray for the national charities that we partner with (The MessageCAPJunction42Safe Families & Home for GoodThe Moses Project and Hope Into Action). Pray that God would sustain and increase their impact in the lives of those they serve.
