We’re thrilled to be welcoming Dr Ben Doolan, Vicar of St Thomas’ Newcastle, to speak to us this Sunday, 1 November 2026.

So who is Ben?

Ben is Vicar of St Thomas’ Newcastle, a vibrant Anglican church in the heart of the city. He planted the church seven years ago alongside a team, and since then, the congregation has grown significantly, with teams also sent out to help bring new life to other churches across the North East.

Ben is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, developing leaders and planting and revitalising churches. He also serves on the National Leadership of New Wine England, a network of leaders and churches across the country.

Before moving to Newcastle, Ben served at St Michael le Belfrey in York and was Student Minister at St Thomas Crookes in Sheffield. He trained for ordination in the Church of England at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, and grew up in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Ben holds a doctorate in Church Planting from Asbury Theological Seminary and is married to Ellie.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming Ben this Sunday and hearing what God has placed on his heart to share with us.
