If you were at a previous family meeting, you’ll have heard about Rebelution Bikes.
It started from a conversation shaped by faith between Ste McFarlane, TVC Church’s Director of Business Development, and Richard Brice, founder of Clean Slate Solutions, about how we could work together to make a real difference.
From that conversation, Rebelution Bikes began.
It’s a partnership between TVC Church and Rebelution CIC. The project helps people develop bike repair and maintenance skills. It also refurbishes bikes donated by Cleveland Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland. The bikes are serviced and refurbished, then sold. The money goes straight back into the project to help it continue.
At the heart of Rebelution Bikes is mentoring. We want to be a steady and supportive presence for people. We help them learn new skills, grow in confidence, work towards qualifications and build a better future. Times of change really matter, and support needs to come with real opportunity.
This is not just about fixing bikes. It is about helping people rebuild trust, belonging and purpose, giving them the chance to give something back to their community and, where appropriate, the opportunity to share our faith.
Bikes for men, women and children are now available, and we will soon be offering bike servicing.
