Prayer Notes – Sunday 18th October 2026

Celebration Sunday – Kingdom Come 

Ephesians 3:20-21 

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” 

As this week concludes, we look back with gratitude and forward with expectation. God is faithful, and His purposes are greater than anything we can see right now. We celebrate what He has done, listen for what He is saying, and respond to His call to be sent into the world as His people. The same God who has worked in the past is still at work today. 

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Continue to lead us, empower us and send us into the year ahead with confidence that You can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. 

Beyond Measure – God’s Greatness  

Thanksgiving for God’s greatness and faithfulness – thank God for answered prayers and all He has done.

The Power Within – Our Surrender  

What God has done in us and what He has been saying to us – reflect on what God has spoken and how He is calling us to respond. 

Testimonies of God’s goodness – give thanks for what God has done during the week of prayer and fasting and over recent months. Let these testimonies encourage us and build our faith for what He will do next.

All Generations – His Mission  

Commissioning and sending us into the year ahead for His glory – commission the church into a new year of mission and discipleship. 

Prayer focused on believing for immeasurably more.  

Personal commitment – as we come to the end of our week of prayer and fasting, take time to recommit ourselves to God and to all He is calling us to.  

Immeasurably More Family Challenge

Activity: Celebration Stones

Give each child a stone, pebble, piece of paper or card.

Ask: What did God teach you this week? What are you thankful for?

Write one answer on it.

Prayer: “Thank You, Lord, for everything You have done. Help us follow You this year.”

Encouragement for parents: Celebrate every small step. The aim is to help children recognise that God speaks, answers prayer and wants a relationship with them.
