Stockton Outreach to Families And Schools

Peter and Helen Conroy run SOFAs – Stockton Outreach to Families And Schools.

The aim is to provide a programme of activities, support, fun and fellowship for families. This initiative is currently focused with families who live in Ragworth and Primrose Hill areas of Stockton, particularly for those whose children attend St John’s Church of England school.

Regular Activities

Social.  Relaxing with God’s family by doing things as families. These include: games nights in the TVC refresh @ The Oakwood Centre, carpet bowls afternoon, 5 a side football, Family film nights

Outreach. Being involved in some of the many opportunities within TVC Church to find out more about living as a Christian. Examples of these activities include: Parenting courses, The Hour, Sunday Night Live at Costa Coffee (1st Sunday of each month), Monthly Pub Quiz (1st Tuesday of each month), our guest service (2nd Sunday of each month)

Faith & Fellowship. Time each Tuesday evening to take a closer look at the Christian Faith in small discussions groups

Activities. Time out and away to meet with other families. These include: family picnics and walks, trips out e.g. to The Metro Centre, Flamingo land, and holiday for families e.g. At the Jonas Centre.

We seek to benefit the area and its residents through demonstrating practical love and concern based on The Good News of Jesus Christ.
