That everything is prayed for, and everyone is praying

Janet West

The Prayer Development Team encourages, deepens and strengthens prayer in individuals, small groups, ministries and throughout TVC Church, by providing various opportunities, events and places for prayer.

We have created, developed and maintain a well used Prayer Room off The Foyer that is available to anyone when the Oakwood Centre is open during the day.  If you would like to use it at any other time, please contact Reception on 01642 781919 to make the arrangements.  There are lots of things to help you to pray and spaces on the walls for you to add your own prayers.  The Prayer Room is small enough for solitary reflective prayer and big enough for small groups to hold special meetings to pray about specific issues.  The Alpha Course Prayer meetings are held there, for instance.  There is an opportunity on Sunday Mornings to pop in and pray for the meeting, just get your tea/coffee and take it in with you.

We run Prayer Events throughout the year, such as, 40 days of Prayer and Fasting leading up to Easter.  Our Corporate Prayer Event, Raise the Standard, held in February was a wonderful evening, attended by nearly 200 people coming together to pray for the Tees Valley.

The TVC Church Family Prayer Diary is issued on the last Sunday of the month and is a document that contains short, daily prayers for the family of TVC Church to pray together.  Download this month's prayer diary by going to the Resources section and selecting the prayer diary.

A lot of our Ministries and Activities have groups of people that have committed to pray for them, if you would like to join a prayer support group please contact either the Prayer Development Team or the Ministry/Activity Leader.

Members of the Prayer Development Team sometimes lead corporate prayer during our Sunday Services and help with Prayer Unplugged – a once a month Sunday evening prayer meeting, held at The Oakwood Centre on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

We try to be as creative as possible and this is a developing area for us, we're currently praying about new ways to connect the 'everyone' to the 'everything' and we would love to hear from anyone with ideas for different ways of connecting and engaging with God.
