Building strong relationships with the Nations
TVC Church believes in going to the nations, and has a number of relationships with individuals, churches and other Christian groups around the world. Missions is defined as sending trained and equipped workers across barriers and boundaries to ‘sow into another’s field’ for spiritual purposes (be that expressed spiritually, practically or financially). We believe that strong relationships, which are invested in with prayer and time, are the key for this area.
We support members of TVC Church on long and short term mission trips, and we support and partner with other churches and specific projects. Our involvement in these is a two way relationship. Many of people who have been on trips to visit and serve the individuals, projects or churches have come back with a fresh heart for the country, people and nation they have visited, having learnt so much from those they were working with and for in the nation.
The people we have visited and supported, tell us of how encouraged they and the churches have felt, the lives that have been touched and changed by God during our visits. Many of the leaders involved in the work in these nations are invited to the UK for further relationship building between the churches and leaders, where possible they bring teams across to us, to bless and encourage this church and its leaders.
These are some of the nations and groups with whom we are involved: Poland (incl. team building with leaders, children’s’ work), India (church planting, feeding programmes, worship input, school sponsorship, teaching), Uganda (Orphanage work – pastoral and practical, training and supporting leaders, teaching), Namibia (training and supporting leaders, teaching), China (provision of medical facilities, sanitation etc in remote areas as part of UK based charity), Ukraine (training and supporting leaders), Canada (supporting leadership training), France, Spain and Italy (encouraging and training leaders)
