Helping our Children Fulfil their Destiny in God

At Tees Valley Community Church children are an important part of our church family. Our desire is to see a generation of children who discover God for themselves. We want to encourage them to love God and equip them to impact ‘their world’ and fulfil their destiny in God.

So on Sunday mornings we want to provide a space so that kids who are visiting us, or who are coming regularly, can have fun, in a safe and caring place. An environment, where they can meet God in ways that are appropriate to their age. Kidspace is led by our faithful and dedicated team of volunteers. All of whom are CRB checked and have received safeguarding children training.

Kidspace has meetings in which each child can meet with God in an intimate and powerful way, so they can grow and get to understand God’s word in an environment where they want to bring friends. We aim to teach the children that the word of God is true, and to cultivate a desire for them to read and apply this in their lives. We want to facilitate the children becoming passionate worshippers of God by providing an environment where they can freely and creatively express their love for Him.

During our Sunday service, after some time worshipping with the whole church family, Kidspace children will meet separately for more worship and teaching in a style best suited to their age.

Baby Lounge

For babies aged 0–2. Located in TVC Refresh (our cafe area). Suitable toys and refreshments are available for babies and parents as they care for their young children in a cosy and comfortable environment. There are facilities for heating bottles and changing babies, as parents stay with their own children, with a live video link to the main meeting.

Sunbeams

For children aged 2–4. Sunbeams is located in the Brook Suite. This is lively group where young children can sing, hear stories, take part in arts and crafts and have the opportunity to play as they learn together about Jesus.

Comets

For children aged 4-5. Located in the Garden Suite. As the children grow and start at nursery and school they are encouraged to learn more about Jesus through songs, stories, arts and crafts and much more. Children are encouraged to play and learn together through many fun filled activities.

Superstars

For children aged 6–11. Superstars is located in the Function Suite. In here children play messy games, learn dances, sing songs, learn to work together and much more as we encourage each child to develop their own relationship with God and to reach out to invite their friends to join this adventure too.
