Sharing the Love of God across Multiple Cultures
“Our church will be a proudly international house, where nations sit side by side, united by a shared faith in the everlasting, living God” – from the TVC Church Vision Statement
At TVC Church we are blessed to share our love of God across multiple cultures. This international flavour is the reality of the Kingdom of God on earth and a foretaste of John’s vision in Revelation 7:9: “people of every tribe, nation and language worship God together”
The various international cultures at TVC Church seek to embrace, enjoy and celebrate diversity, with a vision to realise one community. We aim to include all cultures in the life of the church so that differences in style do not become barriers to inclusion.
We believe that the church should be open and inclusive; touching the community as a place where we can express our faith and welcome diversity at all levels of church life.
The fruits of this vision can and will be seen in the freedom that each person has to enjoy friendship and community, truly be themselves, and express their identity – adding to the flavour of the church, rather than being consumed by it, and conformed to a single image.
One of the first thing you will notice when visiting our church is the vast display of flags from around the world in our main meeting hall, representing the glorious array of nationalities represented and served by TVC Church. We have enjoyed popular and fun-filled international family events with their range of food, costumes and entertainment, and look forward to many more!
So, “International House” aims to be a bridge and a network to help integrate new members from across the globe into church life generally, and specifically into relational groups and the different church projects. We hope that you will receive a warm and sincere welcome, encouraging and supporting new people to find a home with us, where they can experience a fresh encounter with God and enable their giftings to flourish.
Come along and meet with us. We assure you of a great welcome!
