The Discipleship Day is a single day of teaching and learning based on the belief that the church is a family. We believe that it is important to have and to maintain a clear vision of God as our Father.
During the day we seek to learn how to bring our relationships into line with His values and purposes for us. We look at the nature of family and look to understand what it means to take our places as husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, daughter, brothers and sisters in God’s family. We examine the changes that sometimes need to be made in our attitudes, behaviours, relationships and spiritual life.
We look at enlisting the help of the Holy Spirit to make those changes.
The day includes some talks, some group-work, discussions and some time to consider issues individually. The day will include sessions on: Life in God’s family; Healing wounds and finding our value in God; Communication; Receiving God’s blessing on our family life.
